A strange placeholder device has appeared in some iOS App Store listings, observes Panic co-founder Cabel Sasser. Where requirements would normally show the iPhone, iPod and/or iPad as compatible devices, some listings are also including something identified as "ix.Mac.MarketingName." One example app is Panic's Prompt, although how long the glitch might remain is uncertain....
